THE STORY BEHIND PICKLEBALL
Pickleball was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, Washington, by three dads—Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum—who wanted to entertain their bored kids. Using ping-pong paddles, a wiffle ball, and a badminton court, they created a fun new game. It quickly grew in popularity and is now one of the fastest-growing sports in the world!
